I Don't Even Know Where to Begin!

Well, I am at a loss for words when it comes to reasons why I was on such a long hiatus. Long story short, balancing three jobs is tough! But I am handling it pretty well if you ask me. Waiting such a long time between blogs is really hard and I'm gonna do my best to job my memory of these past weddings!

Nancy and Angel March 5th 2011 Wedding

Well, we all remember the Engagement Party Invites that I put together for Angel and Nancy way back in August! Time flew by and yesterday they were married! The reception was held at the beautiful Seven Degrees, and I worked very hard to pull everything together. Trini's niece was the bride, so all of her family was there and she was able to enjoy most of her night because I was there to do most of the work. It was my first wedding where I stayed until all of the guests left and I was left to pick up the Studio's belongings. Four side tables, 4 sets of dessert platters, numerous frames, bowls, bags, you name it, it was in my trunk. Actually, it's still in my trunk! Well my day started off early, headed to Deanne's to pick up the bridal party's bouquets and boutonnieres, then off to the hotel I went. I met Trini at Seven 4 One Hotel in Laguna to drop off the flowers and to pick up the miscellaneous items, such as the escort cards, menus, favor tags, frames, etc. And what should have taken me 5 minutes to get from the hotel to the venue, took me 25! PCH was INSANE!

So once I finalllyyy got to Seven Degrees, I was able to get started with the room set up.

The night ended like this:

Overall, it was a beautiful wedding. Not only were the vendors absolutely pleasant, the guests were so fun and so loving. I had so much fun working at this wedding. But honestly, when you're lucky enough to do what you love...it never really feels like work. I'm blessed to work with the most amazing people who have become such great friends. :)

Great way to start off our busy wedding season! Congratulations Angel and Nancy :)

Alright, alright, alright! Let's get this ball rollin again!

I will admit that I have yet to blog about the last two weddings of 2010....oops! Those will be up soon, I promise :) 2010 was a very good year for me, full of many changes, many of which life changing. 2011 is off to a great start in a new, beautiful studio in GORGEOUS Belmont Shores. Keep a lookout for the first wedding kicking off the new year which just so happens to be Trini's niece :) awww. Blog will be soon to follow...seriously this time! I've been a bit distracted by my new job in Huntington Beach where I work at Hairmasters Salon :) but juggling both careers should be a piece of cake for me since they are both enjoyable and barely feel like work :p lucky me! But I will be sure to keep the blog updated once the weddings start coming around! The year is already flying by so fast everyone, cherish every moment!

Check back soon for new posts!

Here's a sneak peak!

Nathan & Allison October 10th Wedding

I was able to work with allll my favorite vendors for Nathan and Allison's wedding! I was soo excited!! It's always nice when you are able to work with familiar faces who are always fun to be around. The Nowack wedding took place at the Ayers Hotel in Manhattan Beach. The architecture of that building on the inside was absolutely stunning!!

Each of the 18 tables were named after different cities that
the couple had been to throughout their relationship. On the
back of each table number/name, there was a picture from
that city and a small caption about their time there. I thought
it was sweet :) very creative idea Trini!

There's Trini, takin a blackberry break haha

I loved this piece that was in front of the ballroom!

Cake Table. The couple ordered over 450 mini cupcakes
from Vanilla Bake Shop including red velvet, and strawberry
shortcake, among other favorites.

The adorable cake toppers.

Nathan and Allison had a lot in store for their guests. Everything from amazing hor'devours during the cocktail hour, escort cards that served as favors as well, drummers from UCI, a photobooth for their guests to make scrapbook pages for the bride and groom as well as to keep for themselves, and these fire dragon dancers (which personally, scared me being so close to them. I'm not down for large blinky eyes on a doll, let alone on one GIGANTIC dragon head! aah) but all in all, it was a very fun wedding to work at. It was definitely an easy wedding to work, being that Nathan is also in the wedding industry as a photographer, so everything went smoothly :) A fun night for sure. Congrats Nathan and Allison!
